Due to Coronavirus – 19 we will be posting ways to see, read, or think about theater online during the social distancing era. We still encourage you to call friends, Facetime, Skype, Zoom, and create with your neighbors albeit online.

Andrew Loyd Webber is sharing his musicals for all on Youtube.

So psyched for this one. It is happening Friday evening so most of our community will not be able to join live but if it is being recorded on Youtube check back after Shabbat to watch something that will probably be incredible.

John Krasinski started a special Youtube Channel news channel. He’s calling it Some Good News and it has two episodes so far. It is heartwarming, funny, and filled with what is good in the world.

Virtual Readings Happening:

We anticipate more of this happening and will keep you updated as to the goings on here.

Theater in the Rough, IL

We’re planning a few more play readings to get us through the coming weeks. On Sunday, April 5th at 8pm, please join us for one of my long time favorites – The Rivals, by Richard Brinsley Sheridan.

THE RIVALS is a rollicking comedy of manners, written and performed in 1775. The characters are pure over-the-top fun, the situations ridiculous, and the iconic Mrs. Malaprop was so popular her name was used to describe the well-known literary device of the malaprop.

Please let me know if you’d like to read with us! We’ll go until about 10:30pm, feel free to join in the middle.

You can access an online version of the text here: http://www.bibliomania.com/0/6/284/2000/frameset.html

And here’s the information for Zoom:

If we missed anything let us know. There are 100s of ideas and options out there and we would love to hear from all of you at jerusalemenglishtheater@gmail.com
