Theater in the Rough, IL

We’re planning a few more play readings to get us through the coming weeks. On Sunday, April 5th at 8pm, please join us for one of my long time favorites – The Rivals, by Richard Brinsley Sheridan.

THE RIVALS is a rollicking comedy of manners, written and performed in 1775. The characters are pure over-the-top fun, the situations ridiculous, and the iconic Mrs. Malaprop was so popular her name was used to describe the well-known literary device of the malaprop.

Please let me know if you’d like to read with us! We’ll go until about 10:30pm, feel free to join in the middle.
